Last updated: 28 July 2026. These Terms explain how you may use GlanceHQ. Please read them before creating an account or using the app. By using GlanceHQ, you agree to these Terms.
GlanceHQ is a family briefing app that helps parents and carers keep up with everyday family and school life. It turns information such as school newsletters, emails, PDFs, screenshots, announcements, reminders and notes you add into simple briefing items.
GlanceHQ is a service owned and operated by GlanceHQ Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 17334153. Contact: info@glancehq.co.uk. Website: glancehq.co.uk.
In these Terms, “GlanceHQ”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean GlanceHQ Ltd, operator of GlanceHQ. “You” means the person using GlanceHQ.
GlanceHQ helps you organise family-life information into briefings, reminders and actions. For example, it may help identify:
GlanceHQ may receive information from:
GlanceHQ is designed to help you organise information. It is not an official school communication channel.
You must keep checking the original sources of information, including school emails, newsletters, apps, lunch systems, payment systems, official notices and direct communications from your school or activity provider.
GlanceHQ does not replace:
The original source remains the source of truth.
GlanceHQ uses automated tools to identify dates, reminders, actions, events and useful information from the content you provide. Automated extraction may not always be complete, accurate or up to date.
GlanceHQ may:
You are responsible for checking important details against the original communication. GlanceHQ does not guarantee that every reminder, date, event, deadline or action will be captured.
GlanceHQ does not make decisions about children, parents, carers or families. GlanceHQ does not:
GlanceHQ helps organise information into practical family briefings only.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a GlanceHQ account. GlanceHQ is intended for parents, carers and adults responsible for family organisation. Children must not create their own GlanceHQ accounts.
You are responsible for making sure that any information you add about your family, children, school, clubs or activities is accurate and appropriate.
You may need to create an account to use GlanceHQ. You agree to:
You are responsible for all activity on your account, unless it is caused by our failure to take reasonable care.
You may provide information by forwarding emails, uploading screenshots or PDFs, adding manual reminders, saving links, adding family labels, adding school details, or using other supported features. You must only provide information that you have the right to provide.
You must not upload or forward anything that is unlawful, abusive, harmful, misleading or inappropriate. You must not intentionally provide:
If we receive information that appears to be sensitive, child-specific, inappropriate or outside the intended use of GlanceHQ, we may delete it, restrict it, or contact the sender where appropriate.
Some schools may choose to send generic newsletters and announcements to a dedicated GlanceHQ inbox. This is intended to make the experience smoother for opted-in families.
A school newsletter feed may include generic communications such as:
A school newsletter feed must not be used to send:
School participation does not mean the school endorses, recommends, sells, supports or requires GlanceHQ. Schools remain responsible for their own official communications, and families remain responsible for checking official school channels.
You do not need your school to take part in GlanceHQ. Families can use GlanceHQ independently by:
Where a school chooses to send generic communications to GlanceHQ, this simply reduces manual forwarding for opted-in families.
Some GlanceHQ features may be free. Others may require a paid subscription. Subscription prices, billing periods, trial periods and included features will be shown before you subscribe.
By starting a paid subscription, you authorise us or our payment provider to take the applicable payment from your chosen payment method. You are responsible for keeping your payment details up to date.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and payment is charged to your chosen payment method, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play are managed and cancelled through your account with that store, and their renewal is governed by that store’s terms.
We may change subscription prices or features, but we will give you notice where required by law or where the change materially affects you.
We may offer free trials, pilot access, introductory pricing, promotional periods or free access for selected users. The terms of any trial or promotion will be explained when offered.
Unless we say otherwise, trial access may be limited, withdrawn or changed. A free pilot or trial does not guarantee continued free access after it ends.
You may cancel your subscription in the way explained in the app, on our website, through your app store account, or through the payment platform used for your subscription. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, Google Play or another third-party platform, cancellation may need to be managed through that platform.
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not automatically delete your GlanceHQ account. We will not make cancellation unnecessarily difficult.
You may have legal cancellation rights depending on how and when you purchased GlanceHQ. Where UK consumer cancellation rights apply, we will honour them.
If you ask us to start supplying digital content or digital services immediately during a cooling-off period, you may be asked to acknowledge that this can affect your right to cancel once supply has begun.
Refunds may depend on:
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at info@glancehq.co.uk.
If you access GlanceHQ through an app store, or pay through a third-party payment provider, their terms may also apply. We are not responsible for delays, restrictions, billing decisions or refund decisions made by an app store or third-party payment provider, except where the law says otherwise.
You must not use GlanceHQ to:
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
GlanceHQ may let you share briefing items, reminders, links or information with a co-parent, carer, family member or other trusted person. You are responsible for choosing who you share information with, and for considering whether the information is appropriate to share.
We are not responsible for what another person does with information after you choose to share it with them, unless it is caused by our failure to take reasonable care.
GlanceHQ may send notifications, reminders or briefings. These may be affected by your device settings, internet connection, app permissions, operating system, battery settings or third-party services. We do not guarantee that notifications will always arrive, arrive on time, or contain every relevant item.
You should not rely on GlanceHQ as your only reminder system for important deadlines, payments, medical matters, safeguarding matters, travel, legal obligations or emergency information.
GlanceHQ may let you save links, open external platforms, add items to calendars, or connect with third-party services. Third-party services are not controlled by GlanceHQ. We are not responsible for:
You should read the terms and privacy notices of any third-party service you use.
We may improve, update, remove or change GlanceHQ features from time to time. We may make changes to:
Where a change materially affects your paid subscription, we will give you notice where required.
We aim to provide a reliable service, but GlanceHQ may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical issues, network problems, third-party outages or events outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. You can contact us for support at info@glancehq.co.uk.
Your use of GlanceHQ is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, our lawful bases, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and your rights.
GlanceHQ is designed around clear data boundaries. We do not ask schools for parent lists, pupil records, school system access, SEND records, medical records or safeguarding information.
Where we provide schools with general usage information, it will be aggregated or privacy-clean. We do not give schools family names, child names, individual usage histories, message content, private reminders, or uploaded family screenshots or PDFs.
GlanceHQ, including its design, branding, logo, software, text, graphics, features and content, belongs to GlanceHQ or our licensors. You may use GlanceHQ for your personal family organisation only.
You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reproduce, reverse engineer or create derivative works from GlanceHQ unless we give you written permission.
You keep ownership of the content you upload, forward, create or add to GlanceHQ. You give us permission to use that content as needed to provide, operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve GlanceHQ. This includes processing your content to extract dates, reminders, actions, summaries and briefing items.
You must make sure you have the right to provide the content to GlanceHQ.
If you send us feedback, suggestions or ideas, we may use them to improve GlanceHQ without owing you payment or compensation.
You may ask to close your account by contacting us at info@glancehq.co.uk, or by using any account closure feature we provide. We may suspend or close your account if:
Where appropriate, we will try to give you notice before closing your account.
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms, or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to the above, GlanceHQ is not responsible for:
You should always check important information against the original source.
You agree to use GlanceHQ responsibly and in line with these Terms. You are responsible for:
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, device failures, app store issues, cloud provider outages, cyber incidents, strikes, legal changes, natural events or third-party service failures.
If you have a complaint, please contact us at info@glancehq.co.uk. We will aim to respond within a reasonable time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are minor, we may update the date at the top. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email, in-app message or website notice.
Continuing to use GlanceHQ after updated Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using GlanceHQ and may cancel your subscription.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
