Instead of searching through emails, newsletters, flyers and messages, GlanceHQ creates simple briefings that highlight what matters most, helping you stay organised without feeling overwhelmed.

Is GlanceHQ a school communication app?

No.

Schools continue communicating the way they already do. GlanceHQ simply helps families organise and remember the information they receive from schools, clubs, activities and other sources.

Do I need to change how my school communicates?

Not at all.

GlanceHQ works alongside your existing school communications. There is no need for your school to adopt new software or change their processes.

Will GlanceHQ replace my calendar?

Not necessarily. Many families still use a calendar for long-term planning.

Is my family's information safe?

Yes, and here is exactly how. GlanceHQ only ever reads the emails you forward to it, or what you paste and upload. It never connects to your inbox or reads your other mail, your own email keeps every original.

We are built to need as little personal information as possible. You do not even have to use your children's real names, a nickname or initial works fine, since the name is only a label to sort whose events are whose. We store only what is needed to build your briefings and reminders, it is visible only to you and any co-parents you invite, and you can export everything or delete your account and all your data at any time.

Because GlanceHQ handles information about children, we take it especially seriously. GlanceHQ is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and committed to protecting your information in accordance with UK data protection law. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.

What data does GlanceHQ actually need?

Very little, and it is parent-controlled.

It works from the general newsletters, public school updates, clubs, dates and reminders you choose to send it. It does not need school databases, pupil records, parent lists or access to your full inbox.

You decide what to forward, you can add your children by nickname or initials rather than their real names, and you can delete anything at any time.

What happens if I forward an email that isn't about an event?

Nothing clutters your brief. GlanceHQ only pulls out real dates, times and things to do. If you forward a password reset, a receipt, or a general notice with no date in it, it simply adds nothing.

So you can forward freely, even set your email to forward everything from school, without worrying about noise. If there is a date to catch, we catch it. If there is not, you will not hear about it.

Can I share information with my partner, grandparents or carers?

Yes.

What if I don't have time to set everything up?

We understand. Parents are busy.

That is why we are working hard to make getting started as simple as possible. Our goal is to help reduce your mental load, not add to it.

Why did you build GlanceHQ?

Because we were the parents who missed things. We know what it is like to feel buried under school emails, newsletters, club updates and messages.

As parents of two children, including a daughter with additional needs, we wanted a simpler way to stay on top of family life.

GlanceHQ is the tool we wished we had.
